Police Support Volunteers

Police Support Volunteers

Durham Constabulary aim to deliver an excellent customer focused service to the people of County Durham and Darlington and value the commitment Police Support Volunteers  help us achieve that aim.

We want to encourage communities to get involved in the issues which directly affect them and appreciate the
extensive range or skills, experience and local knowledge you can bring to our service. Of course we will take your needs and expectations into account and will provide you with an interesting and rewarding experience, supported by experienced officers and staff in various tasks.  Police Support Volunteers are drawn from all parts of the community. They are not members of staff, do not wear uniforms and are not warranted. They perform their agreed voluntary roles alongside police staff and officers and vetted to a level commensurate with the roles they are asked to fulfil.

If you would like further information and are interested in volunteering with Durham Constabulary contact your local Neighbourhood Policing Team Inspector to discuss these opportunities further and to complete an application form.
