Shildon drugs

Taking illegal drugs off the streets is the bread and butter of our neighbourhood officers.

And this morning a team of cops from Shildon, Sedgefield, Newton Aycliffe and Bishop Auckland gave suspected drug dealers in Shildon a wakeup call after receiving information from the community.

Inside the address officers found 2kg of cannabis which and a dangerous set up after the electricity had been bypassed.

The drugs were seized and a woman in her 40s who was present at the property was arrested on suspicion of producing a Class C drug with intent to supply and abstracting electricity.

She was taken to Darlington Custody and interviewed before being released under investigation whilst enquiries are ongoing.
