A bit about the role…
To assist the Director of Evolve and the Heads of Legal Services (Force Solicitors), in providing a comprehensive legal service to the Police and Crime Commissioners and the Chief Constables (the clients), their officers and staff across Durham Constabulary, North Yorkshire Police and Cleveland Police.
You will be part of a highly motivated and skilled in-house legal team working across three police forces

A bit about you…
You will be able to provide legal advice, support, assistance and representation across the Evolve Legal Services clients, regarding operational matters as well as a wide range of other issues affecting the Forces.
Particular experience of supervision and management of own caseload and casework, including legal costs and activity recording is needed. Alongside experience which includes making Court Applications, advocacy, and attendance at Court, complying with Court Directions/Orders, preparing witness statements, dealing with costs issues and briefing Counsel.
Working in a fast-paced environment requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, alongside a flexibility to work from any of the Evolve office locations, from time to time, as requested.
