Principal Officer 2 £42,783 - £45,996 per annum

Principal Officer 3 £47,058 - £50,250 per annum

Hours: 37 hours per week, based on Monday to Friday.The flexible working hour’s scheme is applicable.

About the Role

This an exciting opportunity to support Policing across Co Durham and Darlington.

The post holder will be responsible for providing financial management information and budget-monitoring to departments across the Force. Additionally they will help prepare business cases from a financial perspective.

The post holder will assist with the production of the Statutory accounts and the annual budget process.

This role will be responsible for grant claims, mandatory returns and benchmarking exercises.

The post holder will represent the Police and Crime Commissioner and Chief Constable on formal management boards with outside bodies.

Candidates will be expected to be a member of CCAB or to be part qualified and working towards qualification.

Qualifications / Experience Test

Qualifications:

Lower Grade: To possess a HND or equivalent in a relevant subject, e.g. AAT qualified

To be a part qualified member of a professional body recognised by the Consultative Committee of Accountancy Bodies (CCAB)

 

Higher Grade: To possess a Degree or equivalent in a relevant subject, e.g. AAT qualified

To be a member of a professional body recognised by the Consultative Committee of Accountancy Bodies (CCAB)
