Description

TEMPORARY WITH A VIEW OF POTENTIAL PERMENANCY 

To receive and issue goods, to manage stock levels, maintain adequate filing, stock recording and retrieval systems and provide clerical support to meet the organisational needs of Durham Constabulary . 

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Produce general correspondence, letters, memoranda, reports, and statistical information etc. using a range of IT software packages.

  • To receive delivery of goods and complete all of the necessary transactions for all stock stores deliveries.

  • Input, retrieve and present data using the Force ICT systems.
  • To provide a customer focused service and respond to enquiries from internal and external customers.

  • To ensure stock levels are accurate and maintained, including regular warehouse(s) cyclecounts, filing, stock recording and retrieval systems, in order to support the efficient provision of services to the Force.

  • Liaise with providers of goods and services to ensure there are adequate services and supplies to maintain operational efficiency.

  • To ensure stock availability, progress outstanding purchase orders and process accounts.

  • To undertake manual handling duties as necessary and where appropriate utilise appropriate hydraulic lifting equipment to assist.

Qualifications / Experience Test
4 G.C.S.E. levels (Grade 9 to 4/A to C) including English Language or Literature and Math’s or an approved equivalent.
