We are looking for a highly motivated, experienced and innovative officer to join us as an Inspector.
Your role will be to assist the Chief Constable and Executive team in leading the force to achieve its vision and maintain its values.
The successful candidate will be an innovative individual and supportive team player who has a proven track record of effective change management, building public confidence and securing victim satisfaction.
They should display excellent leadership skills and experience of performing their role in the most challenging of operational policing environments.
An outstanding track record in successfully improving and sustaining police performance is essential, as is strong evidence of managing resources efficiently and effectively in complex environments.
An in-depth understanding of performance management and practical experience of restorative approach initiatives is also important.
Applicants must be substantive in the rank of Inspector, or Substantive in the rank of Sergeant seeking promotion.
The appointment will be offered as a substantive post at an annual salary - £58,422 - £63,198.
The appointment will be subject to relevant legislation and other conditions as agreed by the Police Crime Commissioner.

Once you have submitted your application form, along with all relevant documentation listed, your application will be subject to an eligibility sift/shortlisting process.
You may then be invited to attend for an interview, and if successful you will progress to a standard medical assessment, a substance misuse test and a job related fitness test (JRFT) which may be held on a separate day.
The interview is based on the police professional framework and will incorporate Durham Constabulary values.
