Vacancies for detective constables - Safeguarding and CID

Location: Various locations throughout the force area

Durham Constabulary has been rated ‘outstanding’ by HMIC for the 4th year running.  We serve a population of 0.6 million people.

We are looking for PIP 2 accredited detective constables who are able to demonstrate a proactive approach to keeping our county one of the safest places to live, work and visit in the country.

Durham Constabulary do offer relocation expenses to officers on transfer up to a maximum sum of £6,000, with further details of such provided on request.

Ongoing professional development is strongly encouraged within force, incorporating extensive training and also the potential funding of further academic studies up to Masters degree level is available.

The Role

Detective Constable - PIP 2 accredited.

This is an exciting opportunity for experienced and qualified ICIDP Detective Constables to join a forward thinking, modern Police Force. We are looking for exceptional DCs to work in our CID and Safeguarding departments.

Officers working within our CID department will investigate serious and complex crimes such as serious assaults, serious sexual offences and complicated frauds to a high standard.
