Bishop Auckland

Bishop Auckland Police Station

Bishop Auckland neighbourhood police is split into two teams.

The East team covers Bishop Auckland Town, Toronto, Coundon, Leeholme, Middleston, Newfield, Binchester, Eldon, Close House, Coronation, Cockton Hill, Henknowle and South Church.

The West team covers Woodhouse Close Estate, Greenfields, Etherley Dene, West Auckland, St. Helens Auckland, Tindale, Evenwood, Ramshaw, Hamsterley Forest, Escomb, Etherley and Windmill.

The aim of the team is to work in partnership with other local agencies and communities, to identify and provide long-term solutions to issues of crime and disorder in Bishop Auckland and surrounding villages.

We provide a visible, accessible and familiar policing presence in the area.

We are improving the way we engage with you via PACT (police and communities together). It may mean some poorly attended PACT meetings are cancelled, but alternative ways to engage will be introduced instead. It could see your neighbourhood PC or PSCO visiting places like the local library, baby groups, post office, sports classes or even the pub to hear your views.  Visit your neighbourhood policing team website page or Facebook and Twitter feeds for the latest details.

Insp 2149 Andy Reeves

My name is Andy Reeves the Neighbourhood Inspector for Bishop Auckland. My aim is to make the Bishop Auckland area a safer place to live and work. I am committed to neighbourhood policing in my area, forging links with my local community and addressing the issues which matter to them. I lead a dedicated team of officers who aim to have a positive impact on the quality of life in the communities they serve. I would encourage people to attend our regular PACT meetings so that we can work together to agree local priorities. The Bishop Auckland team all work from one location at the main station located at Woodhouse Lane. This ensures all staff work closely as a team dealing with community issues across Bishop Auckland and its surrounding area.
