  • 24 July 2018 - PACT Priority for Nettlesworth and Kimblesworth
Nettlesworth has seen a rise in Burglaries with 6 properties/sheds/garages being targeted in the village notably the Aged Miners Bungalows have had 3 sheds broken into with no items taken. These incidents have all taken place on the early hours of 24th June between 00:00am and 05:30am.
A quad bike has been taken from the garages at Glen meads whereby unknown persons have forced entry to one garage and taken a yellow Suzuki quad bike from the garage and making off towards the A167 out of the village. This has happened at 00:30am on 16th June 2018 as CCTV from the community centre shows 3 persons approach the garages from a distance and then a short time later leave with the quad bike. CCTV seized however due to distance really difficult to make out suspects, CSI attended.
The community centre was burgled on the 15th June at 02:10am where unknown suspects have wedged the door open and gone through the entire building only leaving with a £1 coin which is longer in circulation. CCTV footage shows the males inside the building and they are fully aware of where the cameras are in the building so we are asking any members of any groups/staff to which they have had any suspicious individuals enter the building for any reason to come forward and speak to me. We have had already one group leader come forward who stated two males tried to enter through the fire exits two weeks prior to this incident and didn’t recognise them and stated they acted in a suspicious manner, unfortunately due to the time scale no CCTV was available for viewing. CCTV seized of individuals, CSI attended awaiting forensics.
A house was burgled in Plawsworth on 1st June 2018 where entry was gained by smashing a kitchen window of the property and carrying out a untidy search leaving with £20 in cash. NO CCTV of the incident, CSI attended we are awaiting forensics.
