Active Priorities

  • 01 May 2018 - Pelton - Youth Nuisance
There has been an increase in youth related ASB incidents within the village. Primarily on Front Street and The Wynd.

This is what we have done

  • 19 July 2018 - Pelton - Youth Nuisance
We have identified a number of key individuals involved in Anti-Social Behaviour within the village. A series of warning letters and joint visits with local council wardens have been carried out. We have worked with local housing associations who have in turn commenced tenancy enforcement against parents of offending individuals.
A number of Community Protection Warnings (CPWs) and Community Protection Notices (CPNs) have been issued to persons aged 16 and over.
As a result of the above action we have seen a dramatic drop in the number of incidents of ASB.
