Active Priorities

  • 14 April 2019 - April 2019
For this month we are targeting antisocial behaviour specifically on the Meadowfield estate.

This is what we have done

  • 14 April 2019 - April 2019
Over recent weeks reports regarding antisocial behaviour in the Meadowfield estate have increased.  Complaints include local youths throwing stones at windows, shouting through letter boxes, banging on doors and windows to cause general nuisance to specific addresses.  Police are working with local residents to identify those responsible through see and warns, Harassment Warnings, Community Protection Warnings and Tenancy Notices where appropriate.

Since this priority was introduced the offenders have been identified and dealt with accordingly.  The area will continue to be monitored over the next week to ensure problems don't return.

    Young Heroes Award
Do you know a young everyday hero?

    Someone who deserves recognition?

Aged 18 or below and living in the Consett area?

We're putting the spotlight on young people's greatest achievements and most commendable actions.

If you have anyone in mind who you would like see receive a reward for doing something above and beyond then nominate them for a Young Heroes Award.  Every month someone will win!

To nominate someone contact us via Consett Police Facebook page.

On Wednesday 1st May 2019 local officers will be attending the Burnhope Community Centre between 6-7pm.  If you have any problems or concerns please come along and speak to your local officers.  Alternatively you can contact us on 101.

These are the policing priorities that local people have agreed with your policing team. You can have some influence on future policing priorities by attending your next PACT meeting.
