Active Priorities

  • 01 July 2016 - Cycling on footpath

    Concerns have been raised about people riding in the city centre and on footpaths in a dangerous manner

  • 01 July 2016 - Burglaries and Cycle Thefts

    ​Concerns have been raised about burglaries and cycle thefts within the local area.

  • 19 October 2016 - student related issues

    ​Concerns have been raised relating to the new intake of University students at the start of the new academic year.

    Issues relate to noise nuisance and anti social behaviour

This is what we have done

  • 10 January 2017 - Cycling on footpath

    ​The local neighbourhood team are stopping cyclists who are riding inappropriately and providing suitable words of advice.

    Special Operations planned to educate cyclists and pedestrians in the city

  • 10 January 2017 - Burglaries and Cycle Thefts

    ​Full investigations are carried out on all reported incidents and regular patrols are carried out by the local neighbourhood team and both uniform and plain clothes Police Officers.

  • 10 January 2017 - student related issues

    ​Durham Neighbourhood policing team are carrying out regular patrols and monitoring the area.

    Extensive work ongoing to combat anti social behaviour.
