Active Priorities

  • 01 March 2019 - Complaints from residents, businesses and visitors about Anti-Social Behaviour including persons perceived to be begging/rough sleeping etc.

    ​Persons frequenting areas of the city carrying out Anti-Social Behaviour perceived as begging/rough sleeing/loitering etc. This includes sitting and standing, in shop doorways, on the pavement, on the ground or any location and/or approaching people in such a manner as to be perceived to be begging for money, dropping drug paraphernalia and public toileting within Durham City Centre.  

This is what we have done

  • 01 May 2019 - Complaints from residents, businesses and visitors about Anti-Social Behaviour including persons perceived to be begging/rough sleeping etc.

    ​Durham City Neighbourhood Policing Team continue to work in partnership with Neighbourhood Wardens and all other agencies and recommended support services that can offer assistance to obtain accommodation, food, clothing - help with addictions - or whatever is needed or offered.  This is fedback at PACT Meetings and is supported by those attending.

These are the policing priorities that local people have agreed with your policing team. You can have some influence on future policing priorities by attending your next PACT meeting.
