  • 19 April 2017 - Thickley Ward PACT meeting

Following another wel-attended PACT meeting the above issues were identified.

Cllr Peter Quin has liaised with Livin regards the use of vehicles on Jubilee Fields.  Durham County Council (DCC) were also contacted regarding the placement of boulders to tackle this.

DCC Street Wardens attended and were made aware of the fly tipping sites.

Lyndsey Hutchinson (Livin Housing and Community Team) attended and has discussed issues of ASB reported by residents.  Further monitoring and liaison between Livin & DCC ASB Teams and Shildon NPT will continue to lower this.

Community Speedwatch has been suggested to tackle the issue of excess speed on Jubilee Road.  Some residents have provisionally volunteered to participate in this and an event will be planned soon.

Community Liaison Officer Faye Callan of Durham Constabulary described the Herbert Protocol (information available on the Durham Constabulary Home Page) with some potential candidiates identified.

An invitation will be extended to Durham & Darlington Fire and Rescue Service to attend the next PACT on Wednesday the 19th April 2017 at 6:30pm so any issues / advice regards fire safety can be raised.

These are the policing priorities that local people have agreed with your policing team. You can have some influence on future policing priorities by attending your next PACT meeting.
