Peterlee is on the north east coast of County Durham, bordering the Cleveland Police area to the south and the Seaham neighbourhood to the north.

We cover the villages of Horden, Blackhall, Castle Eden, Hesleden, Crimdon, Sheraton, Wingate, Station Town, Trimdon, Hutton Henry, Shotton Colliery, Wheatley Hill and Thornley.

We are improving the way we engage with you via PACT (police and communities together). It may mean some poorly attended PACT meetings are cancelled, but alternative ways to engage will be introduced instead. It could see your neighbourhood PC or PSCO visiting places like the local library, baby groups, post office, sports classes or even the pub to hear your views.  Visit your neighbourhood policing team website page or Facebook and Twitter feeds for the latest details.

Emma Kay

My name is Emma Kay and I am the Neighbourhood Inspector for the Peterlee area. Along with my neighbourhood policing teams I work out of the main station on St Aidans Way. Our particular set up at Peterlee, with police officers, PCSOs and community wardens all located under one roof, means our teams can provide a timely and effective response to local community issues. You can have your say about policing in Peterlee by attending a PACT meeting, either in person or online. Keep checking the Peterlee page for the date of your next local meeting, things are happening all the time.
