 Dogs & Fireworks

 22/10/2014

At this time of year the use of fireworks can cause your dog (and other pets!), distress if they have not been socialised/exposed to them at as a young pup, some breeds can be more sensitive to the loud flashes & bangs than others. To help you care for your furry friends the RSPCA, Dogs Trust & other organisations have published some information & media to ease the problem.

There is also a website dogsandfireworks.com which also has good advice to "help your dog cope with fireworks" It also has a youtube video to help socialise & desensitise your dog to the sights & sounds of fireworks.

The website was put together by Karen Wild - a Certified Clinical Animal Behaviourist (CCAB) & her team, to find out more about them click on the paw!
