Co-op store burgled three times in nine days

A CO-OP store has been burgled three times in nine days.
 
The latest incident at the store on Front Street, Sedgefield, is believed to have happened at around 1.15am in the early hours of Thursday, September 7.
 
Two balaclava-clad men forced entry to the main door and stole bottles of spirits.
 
The previous incidents happened at around 11.45pm on Tuesday, August 29, and 2am on Saturday, September 2, by two men wearing balaclavas.
 
On the first occasion, the suspects did not make off with anything, but on the second occasion a quantity of cigarettes were stolen.
 
A police spokesperson said it was believed a brown 52 plate Hyundai Getz might have been involved in the incidents.
