 A man caught exposing himself to vulnerable women has been sentenced


Jayson Kent appeared at Teesside Crown Court on Friday (January 25) for sentencing following being found guilty of two counts of indecent exposure and one count of the possession of a controlled drug (Class A) with intent to supply.

Officers arrested Kent following numerous reports of indecent exposure, on his arrest officers also found him in possession of cocaine.

The 26-year-old of Strait Lane, Darlington was handed a three-year custodial sentence by Judge Ashurst.

DC Liam Robertson, from Darlington CID said: “I hope today’s result goes some way in offering piece of mind to the victims as well as providing reassurance to other women that this man is no longer at risk of re-offending.

“Hopefully, today’s sentence will also send a message to local drug dealers that we will not tolerate this behaviour and we will take action.”
