 Appeal after cyclist injured in collision


​OFFICERS are appealing for witnesses after a cyclist was injured following a collision with a car.

It happened at around 7pm on Friday, May 24 on the roundabout at Grange Road and Victoria Road on the A167.

A black Seat Ibiza struck the cyclist before leaving the scene at speed towards Coniscliffe Road.

The cyclist sustained a suspected fractured ankle, as well as cuts and bruising.

PC Jason Ruck, from Darlington response team, said: “I am keen to hear from anyone who saw a vehicle matching the description being driven in an erratic manner either before or after the collision.

“I would also like to speak to anyone who may have dashcam footage of the incident.”
