 Burglar targets same family twice

A BURGLAR who targeted the same family twice in five days is being sought by police.
Just before 10.50am on Wednesday, October 2 a man wearing a blue/purple jacket went to the secluded property in the Esh area and, after failing to get an answer at the front door, went to the back where he smashed a window and gained access to the house.
He took a laptop and left in the direction of New Brancepeth.
Police suspect that the same man returned to the property at around 2pm on Tuesday, October 8.
This time he was wearing a blue and white hoody and black trainers.
Again, he rang the front doorbell before again moving to the rear of the property where he smashed a window and got into the kitchen, stealing a white Apple Mac computer.
Crimestoppers are offering a substantial £1,000 reward for information leading to a successful prosecution.
Anyone with information is asked to ring PC Matthew Barker on 101, quoting incident 0271 of October 8, or alternatively ring Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
