Cop completes London Marathon, raising £2,000 for charity

WE'RE so proud of Darlington neighbourhood officer, Tracy Kirk, who completed the London Marathon on Sunday and raised almost £2,000 for charity.

Tracy was running for the charity Phabkids, which helps build better lives for children and their families in the UK.

She had aimed to raise £1,750, but smashed her target, taking her current total to £1,910.

Tracy, who has served with Durham Constabulary for 24 years, finished the 26.2 mile course in just over five hours.

“It was an unforgettable day which I will cherish forever, raising nearly £2,000 for my charity,” she said.

“It was a mental battle at mile 21 onwards when my legs were wanting me to stop, but the impossible became the possible.

“I am so proud to have been a part of the marathon which has raised a billion pounds for good causes.”
