Man in court over Darlington puppy theft

​A MAN has appeared at court in connection with a burglary in which a French bulldog puppy was stolen.


Aidan Blareau appeared at Newton Aycliffe Magistrates’ Court on Saturday (November 24) charged with two counts of aggravated burglary.


The 25-year-old, of Elvet Place, Darlington, did not enter any pleas and was remanded in custody to appear at Teesside Crown Court on December 21.


The ten-week-old puppy, named Violet, was taken from a house in Hundens Lane, in Darlington, on the evening of October 31.


Despite extensive enquiries, she has still not been found.
