 Man in hospital after being found with stab wounds in Darlington


A MAN is in hospital after he was found injured by a member of the public in the Haughton Green area of Darlington.  

The victim, in his 20s, has suffered suspected stab wounds and was helped by a passer-by close to the Highland Laddie in Haughton Green, at about 2.30am this morning (December 28). Officers have put a cordon in place outside the pub.

Detective Sergeant John Tyers said: “We have cordoned off the pub as this is the place the victim was taken to following the incident. Our enquiries are continuing.”  

The man is in a stable condition and his injuries are described as non-life-threatening.
