 Motorcyclist critically-ill in hospital after crash in Dawdon


A MOTORCYCLIST is critically ill in hospital after suffering serious head injuries in a crash yesterday lunchtime.


The 17-year-old rider of the motorcycle left the carriageway and crashed into a brick wall in Princess Road, in Dawdon, near Seaham on Thursday, March 5.
He was taken to James Cook University Hospital, in Middlesbrough, for treatment, where his injuries are described as life-threatening.
The crash happened as the 125cc motorcycle was heading south along Princess Road at approximately 12.40pm.
Police investigating the crash are appealing for witnesses to come forward and in particular anyone who has dashcam footage.
