Peterlee drug dealer jailed for just over two years

A Peterlee drug dealer has been jailed for just over two years.

Sean Griffin, 42 of Murray Street, Horden supplied undercover officers with a large quantity of heroin over a three month period.

Following an operation in Summer 2018 which targeted drug supplying in the Horden area, Griffin was charged with several counts of supplying class A drugs.

He appeared at Durham Crown Court today (November 28) where he was sentenced to a 29-month custodial sentence.

Detective Constable Nigel Crampton, from the force’s Specialist Crime Unit, said: “Griffin is a class A drug dealer who would have continued to supply drugs to fund his lifestyle.

"I am pleased with today’s result and hope that the public feel reassured that he is now behind bars.”
