 Teenagers arrested after fire at Darlington industrial estate


​​Two teenagers have been arrested in connection with a suspected arson incident in Darlington.

The two boys, aged 14 and 16, were arrested by officers today and remain in police custody.

Firefighters were called to reports of a large fire at a factory unit in Albert Hill Industrial Estate at 5.40pm on Wednesday (May 13).

The crews used multiple hose reels and jets to extinguish the fire, along with help from an onsite forklift truck to create a fire break. The crews extinguished the fire at 10.15pm.

Officers from Darlington CID are carrying out an investigation into the cause of the fire.
