 Witness appeal after man stabbed in Shotton Colliery


​Police are appealing for information after a man was stabbed in Shotton Colliery. 

The incident happened at around 11.30pm on Thursday (May 7) in a grassed area in the rear lane of Dene View, on Salter’s Lane.

The victim – a man in his thirties – was assaulted with an unknown weapon and sustained significant injuries.

He was taken to hospital where he remains in a stable condition.

Anyone who has any information that could help the investigation should call Durham Constabulary on 101, and ask to speak to PC 2807 Cloke in Peterlee CID.
